Yes. Banks in Bangladesh and Pakistan don’t process payments at the weekend, so your transfer may take longer.
What this means
Weekends fall on different days in different countries:
- Bangladesh: Friday and Saturday
- Pakistan: Saturday and Sunday
If you send money on one of these days, the transfer is processed once the weekend ends.
What you should do
- Check what day it is in your recipient’s country before you send
- If the money is needed by a certain date, we advise that you send it before the weekend starts there
