Contact support as soon as you can. The sooner we know, the more we can try to do.
What this means
If a recipient’s details are wrong, your transfer may be delayed or rejected, or the money may go to the wrong person. We’ll do what we can to help. LemFi isn’t usually responsible for money lost because of incorrect details.
What you should do
- Open the LemFi app and tap Transactions
- Choose the transfer and check its status
- Contact support straight away, in the app
- Give us your transaction reference number and the correct recipient details
What we can do depends on the transfer’s status:
- Being sent: we can try to cancel it
- Completed: the money is already in the recipient’s account. We can ask their bank to return it, which is called a recall. If you know the recipient, you can also contact them yourself
What to expect
We can’t promise to get your money back. If a transfer has already completed, the outcome depends on the recipient’s bank.
Not every transfer can be recalled. It depends on how much you sent and which country you sent it to.
Next steps
Before you send again, check the recipient’s name, account number, and bank or provider before you confirm.
