Once a LemFi transaction is authorised and completed, it generally cannot be recalled or cancelled. You can only request a cancellation by contacting support within minutes of authorisation; however, such a request is not guaranteed. Transactions are processed immediately, often reaching the beneficiary's account within 2-3 hours.
If the funds have already been sent to the beneficiary's bank, reversal is typically not possible. If LemFi confirms the payment has not yet been paid out, they may cancel the transaction and refund the amount.
If you made a mistake (e.g., wrong beneficiary account number), contact LemFi Support immediately to try to stop the transfer. If the transaction is successfully cancelled, any points used for the transfer will be returned to your account.
Important things to know about recalls
- Takes a minimum of 8 weeks for a final outcome.
- Your recipient’s bank must approve the reversal.
- Funds must still be in your recipient’s account.
- If the bank refuses or the recipient has utilised the money, the recall may be unsuccessful.
