Your transfer didn’t go through. Here’s what to check and what to do next.
What this means
A failed transfer means the money didn’t leave your LemFi balance, or it came back because we or the receiving bank couldn’t complete the transfer. This can happen if the recipient’s details are wrong, a limit has been reached, or there’s a check on the receiving end.
What you should do
- Open the LemFi app and tap Transactions
- Select the transfer
- Check the recipient’s details, including their account number and bank or mobile money operator
- Check the amount is within the receiving limit for that recipient's account or wallet
- Correct anything that’s wrong, then try sending again
What to expect
You won’t be charged for a transfer that didn’t complete. Any money that left your balance comes back to it, usually straight away.
If you signed up in Australia or Europe, your refund goes back to the way you paid:
- Card payments: usually 3 to 5 business days
- Bank payments: usually 1 to 2 business days
Next steps
If you’re not sure why your transfer failed, or your refund hasn’t arrived in the time shown above, contact support in the app. Have your transaction reference number ready.
