What is a global account?

LemFi Global Account is a multi-currency account primarily for African residents (notably in Nigeria) to receive, hold, and send money in GBP, USD, and other currencies. It enables freelancers and professionals to receive international payments through unique bank details and convert currencies at competitive rates. 

What this means

With a Global Account, you can:

• hold money in different currencies (like GBP or USD)
• send money internationally
• receive payments using local account details (where available)

Important to know 

You can:  

• Receive salary or payments from international clients directly into USD or GBP bank accounts.
• Maintain separate USD and GBP wallets within one app.
• Convert funds between wallets (e.g., GBP to USD) in real-time within the LemFi app.
• Send money directly to recipients across Africa, Europe, Asia, and South America. 

What to expect

• You can manage multiple currency wallets in one place
• Exchange rates and fees are shown before you send money

 A mandatory verification process is required to activate the account.
